The rims are either Kelsey or Hayes, and they differ. The two were not combined onto one entity until after T production ceased. Sellers need to know which wheels you have to match the split rims.

Hope this helps.

Wonder if that was a replacement rim made after the merged in 1927?
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Mine say Hayes across the top above the hole. I assumed they were referred to as Kelsey Hayes.

So if they are just Hayes, that's what I'm looking for.

That’s a Chevy rim. Works ok, but started life on a Chevy.

Interesting. So I just looked and I have the one pictured, 2 with a vertical "Hayes" on the left side of the lugs, and 2 others with no brand that I can see. The spare is decent as is the 1 we refinished and the other 3 are going to take a lot of work.

So I'm looking for 3 or 4, 21" split rims close enough match to what I have. If Chevy works, I'll take that too.

I understand that the tube stem hole isn't the same place as the Ford.

You are correct. Chevy rims have stem hole in wrong place. Need to drill new one and weld up the old one.

If I remember correctly, Chevy valve stem to the left (?)and Ford to the right (?) of the split as you look at the wheel. You can weld up and redrill the valve stem holes to switch from Chevy to Ford. That is why Chevy rims have the cut out lug , because the valve stem is close and to help with installing rim on the wheel.
I thought I got it backwards and changed left & right but maybe you fellow is also Chevy. In any case you can redrill to Ford valve stem and the Ford rims don’t have the cut out lug.

So looking @ the wheel in question, was a chevy fellow used here? Ooops?

I just went out and checked again. We have 2 Chevy rims and 3 Ford. The rim my son and I just refinished, is the one pictured and was drilled for a Ford valve stem location and the hole welded shut. We were wondering why and this answers our questioning it.

Still on the hunt for new Ford rims and this is a fun learning exercise for me. I love the discovery and trivia!!
