Sold (pending pickup): MODEL T based dump trailer
This is the model T based trailer that will put all other vintage trailers to shame. Solidly built, easy to dump, and still useful today! The shade tree engineering here is not easily matched. Built sometime in the past, recently gone through so that it lasts long into the future.
Frame: A pinched T frame with bolted and welded gussets to ensure structural integrity.
Hitch: A double - height hitch makes it a breeze hooking up to just about any height draw bar.
Axle: Model T rear cross member, rear spring and axle. Recently disassembled, cleaned up and reassembled with bearings/races checked and fully greased. Sits on two older but serviceable tires, wood wheels, rims and tubes. Perfect for parade or property duty.
Bed: Flat bed with removable wooden sides. Tung-and-groove plank sub-bed with 1/4" steel plate on top giving this rig some heavy duty protection. Steel plate at rear returns under as a skid plat, allowing bed to drag along the ground, dumping out your load.
Dumping action: Very well balanced, keeping the bed angled when in the dump position, but easy to return to flat with minimal effort. Hinges are robust, and bed latch and safety catch are so well designed, there is no worry of dumping the load until you want to.
Asking $1,600 or best offer. CASH only. No shipping, come and pick it up. Don't be afraid to make an offer, the worst I can do is counter.
I took a lot of photos, so what you see is what you get. Located in the Harrisburg, PA area. Ask questions, I'll do my best to answer! I am BEST reached via my e-mail address, See last photo in this first post. I will respond and deal with folks in the order I get your e-mail. Please do not send me an e-mail thru the forum, I may be a young guy, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to respond to forum generated e-mails.

I don't suppose you're coming up towards Burlington VT at some point? That's a really awesome trailer, would love to have it but I'm also a bit far

Totally understand. Delivery just isn't in the cards for me at this time.RadRacer203 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 6:49 amI don't suppose you're coming up towards Burlington VT at some point? That's a really awesome trailer, would love to have it but I'm also a bit far
I did bring it home in the bed of a half ton Silverado. Just fits as long as you block up the tires to keep the hubs above the bed sides! And don't mind abusing your bed sides a little. Haha...
