FS high rad shell $100
For Sale high radiator shell.
This is a brass/nickel shell that will need cleaning.
The issue is on inside one vertical edge is is cracked, see picture.
I thought maybe someone could silver solder?
$125 plus shipping.

Do you have the bottom flange on the left side?

Re: FS high rad shell
Thanks for posting the photos. I am not sure I have the ability to fix that long split.
I think I will look for others but will contact you if I am not successful to see if it is still
available.
Thanks,
Bill H.

Re: FS high rad shell
Bill, rather than a split, it is most likely a wear groove due to a poorly fitted hood. These are quite common on brass shells. It can most satisfactorily be fixed by folding a brass strip to lay along the inside of the shell and silver soldering it in place through the wear groove. This will require some skill by the solderer. If the rest of the shell is not beaten up, it is a worthwhile repair job.
