FOUND brass hood clips

I’m looking for 4 brass hood clips for a car that is being built at Ranken Technical College in St. Louis. The students are building a 26 coupe to compete in The Great Race, X-cup. A category for Tech and high school students. They obtained a 26 coupe locally and have done a lot of work on it to get it ready for this years race. They have opted to re-power it with a flathead Ford V-8. They are making other modifications to it, for safety reasons. The students have quite a bit of say-so on how it is being built. They have decided that the brass hood clips are what they want, but they seem to be out of stock.

For those who are wondering, they are doing minimal modifications to the original sheet metal even though they have lengthened the frame by four inches to accommodate the V-8.

I am a graduate of Ranken (class of ‘84) and someone figured out that I am active in the St. Louis chapter, and I have become a resource for them in their quest to complete the car. We had four club members visit the class right before Christmas and see the progress they have made.

If anyone has a set that they would be willing to sell or donate please get in touch with me. Or another idea would be if someone has a set they would consider loaning that would be returned after the completion of the race in late June.
