layden, I'm sure you know this as you've probably been selling Model T parts longer than I have, but the Stewart Model 490 was made in two styles. The earliest style is the type you are advertising. The end of the speedometer cable jammed up into the head and was supposed to be held in place by a bracket on the end of the cable attached by a screw into the bottom of the head. the screw hole is evident in your pictures. When this method of attachment proved unsatisfactory, Stewart changed the attachment to a ferrule that screwed onto a threaded post on the bottom of the head. So, in reality this is the earliest model 490 head and not the latest. Respectfully submitted, Terry
