Stromberg RF and LF Carburetors
I have a restored and engine tested Stromberg RF and LF carb. The RF is almost new and was Stromberg's improvement over the OF. I'm asking $475.00 for the RF and $275.00 for the LF, both including shipping to the Cont.USA or Canada.

Hi Bruce , any more RF's in the works? Thanks, John
Who's still makes these gaskets, I might be in the market for a solid copper one myself.

Hey John, I have one rebuilt RF left but it's on my car. If I find another Stromberg or Wheeler-Schebler, I might sell the RF.

Hi Bruce , sounds great ! How are they "improved " over the OF ....better performance ?

Re: Stromberg RF and LF Carburetors
John, the main improvement is in the float design, very much like a Model A. They also have finer but more complicated mixture adjustments. Being aluminum, they are not as pretty as an OF but probably run a tad better and don't leak. After all, the RF was Stromberg's "improved" version over the OF. 99% of the RF's have a seized idle jet (brass jet in aluminum) and I've only had four of them that were saveable and I now have 4-6 destroyed bodies that are useless. Actually, I've cut some of them apart just to save the brass idle jet. The late Stan Howe wouldn't accept one for rebuild unless the owner could remove the idle jet before sending it.
