U & J Carburetor throttle shafts offer withdrawn as planned

Post by Scott_Conger » Wed Apr 30, 2025 2:56 pm

I am set up to run U & J Throttle Shafts, since I am restoring a pair right now.

For anyone interested, I will make some for sale, as requests come in... I will not stock them nor custom make them in the future.

My equipment will remain set up for 1 week and no longer to allow for responses, and will remain so only so long as to fill any orders, so please speak up soon. 90% of my mill work gets done on this machine and I need it for other stuff.

I will not bump this ad, and if people bump their own ads everyday and drive this out of sight, so be it.

There is a fellow on eBay offering throttle shafts for Stromberg UU-2 carbs for a mere $165 - he knows what his time is worth...Mine are not that expensive, but they're not cheap, either. Phosphor Bronze (which will not wear out any time soon) is a tough material and makes a quality part, but it isn't cheap, wears out tools, and I have to pay to have it shipped to me. If you are up to the work and ever expect to restore a U & J, this is a part that you will need.

New Vs. Old next to 2 restored throttle bodies with new shafts fitted

PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL...NOT PRIVATE MESSAGING FOR INFORMATION.

Thank you

Zero interest/inquiries - a new record

ouch

mill set-up has been broken down and the offer withdrawn as planned - too bad, I gave folks a shot, but as promised, I'm not going to mercilessly bump this ad for years and drive everyone else's ads off the page; with this one post, it's time to move on

since even a lot of "common" T parts are getting hard to find these days, where else are you going to find the rare or uncommon stuff? No point offering things that won't sell.

Amen Scott.
Tink I will write a song
“ You don’t know what you got till it’s gone “
No need to waste my time on that either, it won’t sell either.

Scott,

I am writing new chapters in my life and none of it has to do with cars!
