Are WASP 12V starters still being made? I see that Snyder's is "temporarily out of stock"

This was brought up on the Forum, recently, by Brent Terry of Tennessee. He was trying to find one on short notice and contacted vendors (I don't know which ones) and all were out. My guess is that something has slowed production in England. If and when they are available again, expect a higher price due to increased tariffs. I have one, and Brent contacted me, but he had to pass, and I missed a sale, because I'm 280 miles round trip from my parts and due to health reasons, don't have a timeline when I could go get it.

The WOSP starter for Model T's was designed by the Tuckett Brothers in the UK. Checking their website they are out of stock as well. I sent Neil an email asking if there are plans for future production and will report back if he replies.

FWIW - a clever person could do something similar over here if WOSP doesn't plan to produce them. The motor portion is not unique to the Model T starter and readily available. What they've done is customize the nosepiece and the gearing that engages the flywheel. It bolts on to the motor unit.

I hope that if WOSP drops the starter that someone else will come up with a starter that works along the same lines. I know it's not original but I have had exactly zero problems since I replaced my original Ford with a WOSP a few years ago. I used to have to carry a box of spare bendix parts, both for my starter and to help others whose starters malfunctioned on tour. I still carry a few parts but just for others.
