Scammers contact list
I like Scott Congers suggestion, so I’ll start
1. Richard Armstrong is a known scammer alias
2. 270-632-0652 was a number pretending to be Melba Nolan

Re: Scammers contact list
Not a bad idea. Let's be very careful, however, to only mention those who have actually scammed, or tried to scam, us. We've seen many occasions where someone was tagged a "scammer" due to oddly phrased listings or other unusual behavior. Definitely, those are things to be wary of, but it does not always mean it's a scam. Let's be careful to burn only actual witches.

Yeh and I'll stretch what Jerry says by adding "Libel anyone"?Jerry VanOoteghem wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 11:55 amNot a bad idea. Re: Scammers contact list
Both of the contacts I listed tried to scam me.
There was a third one as well, but I have since deleted the info, so I chose not to list it.

Re: Scammers contact list
It is not libel if it is true, and warnings against scam phone numbers are posted all over the internet...it most certainly is not libel. Thanks to the Defense Department divulging my every aspect of my being, 11 years ago, I get scam #'s more than periodically, and most of the time I can find that number on the internet being listed as one scam or another.

Re: Scammers contact list
Scott I agree 1000%, I'm only "stretching it" like I said, for the one albeit unlikely, thankfully, incident where someone misinterprets things and then accuses someone of being a scammer. Now they got a problem. That's all. Thanks for your info, never knew of that.Scott_Conger wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 8:12 pmIt is not libel if it is true, and warnings against scam phone numbers are posted all over the internet...it most certainly is not libel. Re: Scammers contact list
I looked back thru prior posts and found the other contact that was trying to infiltrate our group to steal money from us
The number that contacted me is
656-247-7834
Email is
Joyceggugi@outlook.com
It backfired on them though.
My PayPal populated with the correct address and the correct member received the funds.
Pay attention to the detail, if it seems off, request a phone call.
This is a direct contact to me, so no libel issues.

Re: Scammers contact list
If you are concerned with "libel" then you need to retain some proof of the attempted scam or scam (copies of the ad to which the scammer is responding to & any emails etc).
I was curious if an attempted scam was illegal, used AI & got a good response (some references to law firms in it). I had an "attempted" scam, even got a phony FedEx envelope delivered to house with a check in it befor 5am. Local Police claimed "no harm, no foul" incorrectly.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: Scammers contact list
I for one would be very grateful to avoid getting scammed!
Scott - sounds like you were part of the same DOD data breach as me. Still getting tons of grief from that one.

Re: Scammers contact list
You are correct. Richard Armstrong scammed me on a 1919 model T hood. Thankfully, I filed a dispute with Paypal and the money was credited back to my wife's account. I only wish I could spend 5 minutes in an alley with the likes of people like this.South Park Zephyr wrote: ↑Mon Feb 16, 2026 5:32 pmBoth of the contacts I listed tried to scam me.
