Continuing the learning process here. I have the tires off now and I think I can salvage 1 of the Kelsey rims I have but the other 3 are a mess. I could be wrong of course but they look sprung I can't make a flush seam when closed. I can post some pics of what I have if anybody wants to give me their advice.
Anyone have and 21" split rims in their shop that they're tired of tripping over? I'm trying hard to get on the road when the snow melts.
Thanks guys, Darren

Post the pictures.
I had a customer bring a set of tires & rims for mounting. One rim was made into a pretzel by his first tire installer.
Using a press & some common sense I was able to straighten & save that rim. Takes patience & time.
Installing tires on split rims takes skill, patience & a light hand.
