I have @1921 engine and I have a new copper manifold gasket. Do I need the copper rings for the exhaust manifold? Do I use lock washers on the nuts holding the manifolds to the cylinder head?
Thanks,

Re: manifold gasket rings
All six ports use a copper crush ring with the steel gland rings IF your exhaust manifold is straight ! This should be in the regular discussion forum.

Re: manifold gasket rings
I agree with Steve’s first sentence. Altho I’ve never seen or personally used lock washers on the 4 manifold studs, I don’t suppose it’d hurt
