Original, era Tiger timers had a burgundy colored insulator ring - later imported ones had an orange colored ring.

And today's repops are a softer black ring. Re Art above only good for about 1600 miles.
I am "beta testing" said repop timer using a round brush TW and so far looks promising. I don't think the brush has any "bounce" like a roller timer and will wear better. Time will tell.
