OK so I was hunting around in some boxes of T parts and found this? Looks like it's for grabbing something. Any ideas??

I'd be extra careful with that insulation on them, more than likely asbestos, :o

Kerry is right...that IS asbestos. We had a bunch of those in the lab, usually used to hold ball or erlemeyer flasks, etc. over a bunsen burner.
