I am working on a TT. The truck is claimed to be an '18, but is a mix of other years.
The fill plug is just slightly below the axle tube.
That seems like the level would be too high. When compared to a non truck axle.
What is the correct level? Thanks.
TT rear axle oil level?

Re: TT rear axle oil level?
The TT needs to be filled all the way to the bottom of that rear plug. Leaving it lower like is appropriate for T car rear ends is not appropriate for the TT rear end. Also don’t overlook the importance of the seal at the back of the driveshaft tube...
