Unusual Request:

Post by ModelTWoods » Sat Dec 11, 2021 12:02 am

I have an unusual request. I need someone on the Forum, who knows me well, to bid for me on an EBAY item #275048556614. Unknown to me, when I went to bid, the CANADIAN seller has put me on his BLOCKED bidders list . I can't even contact him to ask why. I have bought many things from him. I have always paid him. I have never returned anything, and I have always given him A+ feedback. This is a mystery to me. I would like this auction and there are NO other bids at this time. Auction ends tomorrow afternoon, so time is short. I'll 100% reimburse anyone who helps me. If a successful purchase is made, the seller could be given my mailing address, so the item won't have to be mailed a second time. Any takers?

Currently it's $23.99 with no bids plus $15.59 shipping. If a bidding war develops, how high are you willing to go, Terry?

Uh-oh. I just noticed the auction closes at 7:23 PM. I'm going to town about five, so that takes me out of the game. :(

I have purchased from him before without incident. The bidding does end until Today, Saturday at 7:23PM CST.

Sounds like the cancel culture at work. You may have left him 4 stars instead of five on quickness of shipping or something small and they just block you forever. Might be worth getting a forum member to contact him through eBay and find out why and try to get you back on his good side rather than have other purchase items for you. Paying through the eBay system and trying to ship to a different address really gets involved and if it gets shipped to the actual buyer and they reship it to you, it just adds to the length of time and shipping costs.

Good luck with this.

Sometimes, they don't.

Yup, sounds like a slight fault got you cancelled. Hope you get it worked out with the cancellator.

When I first had to use Paypal, it was really confusing to a newbie geezer and I messed up the friends/family setting. The process worked but the full amount didn't get transferred ...... this weird process eventually got me cancelled by an exceptional vendor but the process gave me a good education on Paypal procedures. Older and smarter now.

Problem solved. A friend here in Texas is going to handle it. Maybe he can contact the seller and straighten things out so I can bid again from him.
