Camshaft lift question.

Post by NoelChico » Tue May 31, 2022 11:21 am

If I have a .250 lift camshaft, does it lift the valves .250 or do you subtract the 10-12 thousandths of lifter clearance and you only get .238-.240 lift?

you lose the clearance. A .250 lift is the actual measured difference between the max & min dimensions of a cam lobe.
