Chevy OHV assembly

Hey all,

I find myself in possession of three complete 1928 Chevrolet motors, all with the complete overhead valve assemblies that people like to use on T's (theses are the ones with the dual intake and exhausts). All in what appears to be pretty good shape. I'm not sure if these are considered valuable or not particularly valuable at all, since there's an adapter plate that's needed and, I understand, some push rod rework.

Wonderful you have complete engines!

Did many conversions over the years but now retiring from the game. Those 1928 AB series engines are very well built.., even the crankshaft and rods can be adapted to a T block! The heads can be ported up to 300 CFM.., that equals to almost half of a Chevy small block bracket race car at 700hp.

Certainly not like gold or real Rajo heads? But I feel badly for 1920s Chevrolet owners needing parts. 1928ish heads crankshafts and connecting rods are tough to find, and pricey due to model T speed freaks hoarding parts they may never get around to fitting onto their future low-buck dream machine.
I knew a fellow with a 1928 Chevrolet some years back that needed a head for his car. He ended up paying near $500 when he found one. I think the prices have come down some since then?

There was a '28 Chevy rear end there also that was pretty nice, but was just going to be scrapped, so I took that because I could picture somebody out there needing it.

There could definitely be someone who could use that rear end. Those cars are known to break drivetrain parts more often than T’s.
