Hi All
I recall seeing a long time back and I cannot locate by searching, the chart that identifies the make of Hayes wire wheels. They are not all for Fords and the numbers on the back of the hub mean something ?
Cheers

Re: Hayes wire wheel identification
Andrew, i checked 10 front hubs I have for model T wheels. Two numbers were hidden by speedo drive gears. All 8 of the others show the number 1EA 111, for both 23" and 21" wheels. Hayes made wheels to fit Dodge and Nash cars and others I suggest. These would necessarily have needed a different casting to be machined to fit other makes of vehicle. They are most likely to have different casting numbers.
