Replacement Steering Unit for Model T

Post by frontyboy » Tue Feb 28, 2023 11:45 pm

I was recently gifted a worm and sector steering replacement unit for a model t. It was manufactured by the Standard Foundry Co in Nebraska. Nicely done perfect castings, adjustable on the worm and sector.

Has anyone seen or had one of these steering gears? Perhaps someone might have a catalog or instruction sheet? The one piece I did not get with this unit was the actual steering shaft. I can fab this with a minimal of effort.

If possible , perhaps post some pictures for the Raging Masses to see, as it may twig someone's memory better that way.

Pictures would help. Many people have unidentified old parts on hand.
