Magneto Horn Diagram

Post by fbergski » Tue May 07, 2019 8:16 pm

Does anyone have diagram (breakdown) of a magneto horn? I believe there is suppose to be some paper gaskets but don't remember seeing them when I cleaned mine. My horn sounds pathetic.

Phillip, the magneto horns are adjustble. If you look down the trumpet you will see a slotted screw and a locknut. I welded a socket to a piece of tubing to make my own very deep socket. A rod with a T handle wqs ground to make a screwdriver end, and this rod goes down the tube to catch the screw. You can back off the locknut and play around with the screw to get a more acceptable noise.

Hope this helps.
