Gaskets

In general, do you really need any gaskets on the model T? Other than the head gasket, couldn’t you just use various permatex products where you would use a cork or cardboard gasket?

Between the crank case, block & HH. Gasket thickness is needed to keep the crank center distance. Some gap would be needed.
Could possibly be done with a thick silicone bead. Specifically the 4th main fitting.

Gaskets aren't that costly. You can order just the gaskets you need from Lang's. I would not order the set, they come with too many extras, but you can buy a set if you want without the head gasket. Some locations as Scott suggested, do need the correct thickness of gaskets. In addition to the pan & hogs head felt, the timing cover needs a thin paper type gasket. You would also need the manifold gaskets. Last report was that the copper crush rings were out of stock at some of the dealers.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
