WTB: Engine and trans

Post by jaybee47 » Tue Sep 05, 2023 8:18 pm

A buddy of mine is building a speedster. He is looking to buy a rebuilt engine (with or without generator and starter) and trans. Any leads?

The last of my Super Builds. How fast and how much money is the only questions!

Hi Hank. Very impressive!!! Expensive, powerful and fast. My buddy is an old fogie and unfortunately has a thin wallet and his speed is slow. (I posted incorrectly...he is trying to build a hack not a speedster.) Many thanks for your reply.

Hank's Red Beast in South Pittsburgh TN is just 8 hrs away from Columbia City Indiana, you & your friend can pick it up (Hank has a hoist).
OR
I have one for $2K the block is a 1919 (I think, with an added 1 prefix) - on a 1926/7 pan has starter & generator. Its said to have adjustable valves haven't run it yet. I'm just 5 hours away. Not sure about pistons :? etc
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
