Sundayβs Jelf update. πππππππ NICE UPDATE ON Steve Jelf πππππππ
Spoke with a very upbeat nurse just now who's spent the day with our Dauntless One!
He's eating by mouth now! No, it's not kimchi and it's not raw veg, but the fact that he's able to swallow pureed food shows me that he's not presenting ataxia (a motor dysfunction in the brain that can happen with some TBIs). When she asked if he wanted more, he would say "OK". He was much more responsive today, mostly with "Yes" and "No".
Dallas came for a visit and the nurse thought it did him a lot of good. He needs this sort of stimulation. β€
He still appears to be in a lot of pain and they're doing their best to manage that, but all in all, today's report was very encouraging. β€ Please, let's also keep George in our thoughts as he is sick with COVID. β€
Cheers,
Molly
