Ford model T 1909
We decide to sell all our Non-Canadian car to make room in the building for new Canadian car purchase.
I can free delivery the car to Hershey.
1909 Model T
It has around 500 miles on the engine, following a comprehensive rebuild which included all new babbitt, new piston, valves and a new SCAT crankshaft. The block is original and even has an obscure boss on the left side which was apparently intend to provide crankcase ventilation. The coil box is a correct Kingston and includes four rebuilt coils. The commutator is a reproduction “two piece” timer. The sway back inlet manifold includes the correct Kingston five ball carburetor. The car have a Holley NH carburator too. The transmission has new bands but included all the original cast and machined parts that were used in these early builds. Of course it has the square hogs head mounting the three pedals and the one piece pan. The transmission shaft is dated with the date is was assembled “9 30 09” in this case. It have the proper rear end and the one piece spindle.
The body is an original Baudette with matching rear doors B7264. The body number is duplicated under each of the rear doors. The wood body is hand painted painted Brewster Green with black painted trim. The upholstery and top is leather and is in excellent condition. All the metalwork such as fenders, hood and splash aprons are powder coated which will provide for a long, attractive life.
The head lamps are original Jns Brown Model 15’s and are connected to the gas generator with correct tubing. The side lamps and the tail lamps are beautifully restored Jns Brown Model 60’s. I agree the tail lamp should be marked Model 75 but I gather for a few months they were marked Model 60, same as the front. Mine has the correct “error”.
The wheels were rebuilt by Stuzman and include custom hubs that externally look identical to those shown in the Encyclopedia but internally use the tapered axles. Similarly the rear axle looks correct for the year but internally has Hyatt bearings at each end of the axle shaft. The wheels are currently equipped with white tires and the car has a spare set of new tires included. The steering column is 50” long and is equipped with a brand new brass quadrant.
The horn is the correct double loop Rubes and is equipped with a RANDs windscreen. The working speedometer is the correct Model 24
The car is currently located in Quebec, Canada but can be delivered anywhere in the US or anywhere in the world with appropriate arrangements.
Asking $45,000 USD including all the custom broker fee and proper paperwork for registration in USA

I have the build sheet from The Henry Ford for the car which lists the engine being stamped on 4 October 1909 and shipped to a Michigan customer on the eight.

Re: Ford model T 1909
This wonderful T, having been made during the 1910 model year, has been restored to it's original state. While some do date their T in the year in which it was made, this T, as original, is a 1910 model and was sold new as a 1910 model. Who ever is the new owner has the privilege of calling it by what ever year they want, but I am keeping pictures of it in my 1910 file. It has all the features of what my 1910 touring had when it was new. The data plate is unusual and the tail light is interesting.

Re: Ford model T 1909
I am getting a bit fed up with the build year/model year discussion every time an early car comes up for sale, this may be a car from the 1910 year model, but enough evidence is provided that it was not only built but also shipped and sold in 1909. That makes it a genuine and bona fide 1909 car in my book.
Selling cars in 1909 as a 1910 model is not only a fiscal year thimg, but also a sales pitch on a par with the "New Formula" thing used is commercials for hair products, or the "Reduced price buy NOW" ads , it is an old trick, even older than the automotive industry.
If you want to be absolutely correct, you could call this car a 'late 1909 built car of the 1910 model year" or something like that, which only adds to the confusion IMHO
Sorry for the rant, i'll keep shut now

Re: Ford model T 1909
Ford used model years. Any Ford ever build is built to the specifications as to the model year. This T was built, by Ford, as a 1910 Model. My modenr car is a 2018 model built and sold in 2017. The year built has no effect on the mdoel year. This T is a great examble of a 1910 T. It does not look like a 1910 T at all. The are a bunch off differences with the 1910 TVs and the 1909 Ts and this car is a 1910. "If you call a rose a sunflower, does it become a sunflower?"

Re: Ford model T 1909
AS well restored Model T Ford made in 1909 but restored to resemble all the way a 1910. So it is a wonderful 1910 Ford and you can, call it what you want, but it is still a 1910.

Re: Ford model T 1909
The Model Year change was on 1 October in those early years.
The Model Year was real short about 1918 and changed to 1 August for many years after that.
What it is for Fords today may be the same or similar.
Owners will often tell you they have a title that proves what years the T is, but there were no states that required automobile titles until about 1918 or 1912 and Michigan was one of the first, if not the first state to require titles.
Maryland was early requiring all cars to have titles in 1920.
New York was one of the last requiring all new cars to have titles after 1973.
