High F script hubcaps
I have had two 1917 High F scripts hubcaps. The first one I had I gave to Russ Furstnow when he bought my 17 Coupelet. The script was identical to the 1916's used previously, and first introduced in 1914. The one I gave Russ had no plating in the script area, indicating the plating was done after the black center. The one I have now has two areas that are still shiny nickel. No nickel in the center area as the other. I've not seen any 1918's to see if they still used the high F then. It would be nice to know. As some of you may know, the 1913 hubcaps are similar, but have a bolder F, as the one Dan Hatch posted this morning on the forum.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
