Ownership History of this Minnesota acquired 1922ish Touring?

Post by ivaldes1 » Sun Nov 05, 2023 2:52 pm

I purchased "Shirley" in November of 2016 a 1922 body, 1913 differential and 1925 motor, engine number 11755014 from Backyard Classics 10288 200th Street Northwest, Thief River Falls, Minnesota 56701, United States https://backyardclassics.net. It has been a great car, full of peculiar finds and unique parts. We still drive it to church frequently. She was probably involved in a sandwich crash in her mysterious history then parts replaced from a much older car and a younger car. It is possible that she was poorly restored in the 1970's. It had a badly fitting aluminum racing radiator when it came to us and was very worn out. Attached are photos of how it was when it arrived to my house in November of 2016. We would really like to know who owned her in the past. I've contacted Backyard Classics in the past but the seller who sold it to them prefers to remain anonymous. It is said to have been purchased by the seller who sold it to Backyard Classics from an auction.
