Got to pull a 1914 apart.

One of friends had a catastrophic engine failure. A magnet broke and ate his mag ring.

So it was engine pulling time.

So now the rebuild begins. This was a neat car that his dad had and was redone in the 50's. Could have been a lot worse. Starting to get good at this engine pulling thing. Ha!

Robert, it is commonly referred to as "Therapy finds its patient", You need a winter project anyway.

Ha true. My daughter help pull the hogs head a few months ago to see what had happened. It was fun.

If the magnet didn't go through the hogs head, you are lucky. Now all you need to do is replace the magneto. Be sure to check all the magnets for cracks so the others won't break.

Lots to check. Yes he was lucky. Once it comes apart we should be able to see if anything else happened.

Sure sucks to have to nearly dismantle the front of an early T to get the engine out. Been there many times, just putting one back together tonight. Wayne, thread drift happens. No harm, no foul. It’s either a 27 or 28 Buick. I can just barely make out the back end of the mascot on the radiator. It looks 28 and that model was more popular that year so that’s my guess. A better look at the fenders would give it away.

"Part Buick"? Don't know if I want to know why "part" Buick?

Hey there Erik B! Yeah I have had several good friends with Buick Victoria/opera coupes. I love that body style!

I had a late oil tube I was using in my 1913 that came apart and did the same thing.
