What its For?

Post by TRDxB2 » Tue Nov 21, 2023 8:14 pm

The 2 posts in the back and patent number, 1970889, would indicate that its an ammeter . Label reads do not charge over 7 amps if only one bulb is charging. Then it has two dials for a left and the other right bulb

Battery charger that used 2 rectifier tubes maybe.
For example, the KR Wilson used for charging magnetos and batteries had 2 rectifier tubes that depended on what operation it was doing, could use one or both. It does not have that gauge but just a suggestion.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

You might be right, they were mercury bulb rectifiers, and if one out of 2 had failed you would overamp the remaining bulb. I think.

Patent number led to this battery charger. That meter is featured in the patent drawing too.
