Kingston coil box Small winter project

Post by Tbird » Wed Dec 27, 2023 9:14 pm

Thought I would share some pictures of the coil box that will be going on the Delivery car. I opted for a Kingston repo box that takes the later coils. I used the LMF Cherry stain and a Cognac to darken it up and give it a little more color. I finished it with 5 coats of Helmsman clear gloss
Thanks to Rich Bingham for some guidance. I still have to put the Kingston name plate on, but need some shorter nails for it.

Mike looks like you need a little more practice. Send me that box and I’ll send you another you can improve on. Just let me know, hehehe

Best John
