FS: Brass Top Non Model T Coil

Post by George House » Mon Jan 08, 2024 5:30 pm

I believe probably for a one cylinder engine. Excellent wood, black brass top and nearly new KW points.
Only $50 + mail cost. Personal check is fine.

Hey George, I need a coil for an early Brush automobile. This looks a little similar but I need measurements to see if it will fit in the box. Also more pictures. The coil I need has 3 contact points. One on the front and one on each side near the top like the one in your picture.

Howdy Ed,
…..Good question, so I’ve included these 3 pictures. If the measurements will fit your coil box, I’d be inclined to ask Brent Mize if he could ‘remodel’ the coil to work..gh

THanks George, never hurts to try, It's too thin and too tall and not close enough to even think, maybe, with some alterations.

George,
The coil you have is the vibrator for a master vibrator.
It has no secondary winding. It does not produce a spark.
It’s simply used to fire the coil that have their points shunted out.
It was used to smooth out the operation of 4 coils all firing differently.

George
The pictured coil came oit of a KW Master vibrator.
It is unique in taht it has no secondary winding.
