Re: shocks
Phillip, In the past on a Touring and a Coupe I found the ride greatly smoothed out by refurbishing and lubricating both front and rear springs. A stiff ride is generally an indication of worn and non lubricated spring set up. The Model T rides quite comfortably when the springs are in good shape…

Re: shocks
Another aspect of "ride" is tires. Recently changed out old rock-hard tires for new, fresh, pliable tires and the difference was remarkable!

Re: shocks
My method is using 1965 & earlier VW shocks front & rear. They work very well as Tom says the rear make the big difference.

Re: shocks
Its not your fault, its googles fault. It wont show mtfca search results anymore.
If you switch to a different search engine you may have more luck with a search.

Re: shocks
Philip, The ones I have seen on the NW Montana 500 racers where smaller VW type and attached directly to the differential tube. They were Much less offensive looking than some others but not Model T era for sure. If you can find a picture of Tom's I would copy his idea and could easily be home built.
