And, if so, anything special? This came off my 26/27 depot hack project donor that is now my WWI ambulance project, so no door hardware needed. But, before I store it away in the parts stash, just wondering if someone else could use it.
I'll hang up and listen. Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Raining here in ATL.
Is this T door hardware?

Is this T door hardware?
Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
A bunch of old cars
Sometimes they run.
Sometimes, they don't.

Re: Is this T door hardware?
Robert, they may well be proprietary lines, used by aftermarket body builders for depot hacks, hucksters and all sorts of commercial bodies, rather than auto company parts. In Australia where different states had their own body builders for the fords they sold, we have a variety of such hardware available, obviously from different makers, who supplied the necessary parts to the body shops. It makes it more difficult to work out and source "correct"" replacements for our cars.

Re: Is this T door hardware?
They do look a little "commercial" and bulky for a car, so a truck body or aftermarket makes sense. I'm thinking I may use two of them on tool boxes on my ambulance, but didn't want to "waste" them if they were of use to a Model T body.
I do not have any catch plates for these for the latch to slip into and grab, so it was probably just cut into the wooden door post to have a recess for the latch to catch or up against a wooden rail.
I'll have to give this some thought for a wooden tool box door to catch on a wooden tool box lib. Maybe I can fabricate something or look through the parts stash for a strike plate that would work.
