No, it's not what you think. Im not revisiting that topic again. but, want to offer something out to the group. I guess I have an aftermarket T radiator that came on my 27 Depot Hack. My hood shelves are a good 1" gap from the bottom edge of the hood sides and my hood hold downs are stretched to the limit, but do manage to clip on.
But, my upper radiator hose was too short for the replacement kits from the vendors. My upper hose, instead of the standard 2" diameter by 4 inches long is almost 8" long.
Long story short, I purchased 2" diameter black rubber hose and cut mine to length and it looks and works great. But, I had to purchase a 36" length from NAPA to get this hose. I see no need to put the remaining 28" on the shelf. So, if anyone else has the need for a slightly longer upper hose , if you cover postage, I will gladly cut to lenght what you need and give it to you.

That would have worked as well. but, only the 30/31 set would have given me the needed lenght for the upper hose. But, it would have worked as wel. Thanks for that info.

I bought a hose set from Lang's for my '27 in 2014. The upper radiator hose is six inches in length; it fit perfectly.

As I mentioned, my radiator is an aftermarket and appears to be higher than the standard Model T radiator, hence, the need for a longer hose. But, I have read previous years threads about other having a similar need. I am sure with thousands of hoses sold, the vendors have the correct length for the correct fitment.

I "think" that several good pictures are needed of your radiator, full front, including some of the frame and fenders, back side high and low including good pictures of the top tank itself, mounting brackets/bolts etc, and firewall included in a long-side shot as well as how well the hood fits (if it is on the car?), in order to figure out what is off.
I have had several old era after-market radiators myself, and some of them did need a slightly longer upper radiator hose than the original Ford radiators used. However, your descriptions seem more than a bit excessive. Without being able to really see it, or good photos thereof, all we can really do is wonder and speculate. But something sounds way off.
