Yep...2 days ago that day tour, today it was our club member Doug Galloway again hosting a fly-n-drive in good time at his rural airport. He has several Ts and flies. I just have T's!
It had over 40 planes this year plus 6 model Ts & our Prez's '40 coupe. I gave 6 or 7 rides to various bunches of people in my '13 touring, of all ages, lots of kids. Jim Riedy also did in his '26 Runabout. Was absolutely a blast. Perfect weather helped! A lot of good food of course.
I always take way too many pics and it's hard to thin 'em out so you'll just have to suffer through a couple of batches maybe...

And we keep on touring. This time we went "over the bridge and across the pond (bay)". 4-lane RTE 2 which squeezed down to one lane each way over the bridge to our exit wouldn't ya know.

We managed! After our lunch at the lighthouse it became a one hour car show.
Was a fun day. 67 miles. 670 smiles!

So today 4 of us "just" did one of our simple yet pleasurable picnic tours. Went to Lakeside park in Huron, right in front of where I spent 4 years as a kid ironically. Nice refreshing light lake breeze, toured well out SE of Berlin Hts area and returned back through Huron on way home but NOT without the obligatory ice cream stop! Also a short leg-stretch stop at a nice metro-park garden area. Very nice place with all sorts of trees well marked as to what they are plus plenty of flower gardens. It was another perfect day.
