Top replacement 1916 runabout

Post by Robert Bente » Thu Jun 20, 2019 11:58 pm

I want to replace my top on my 1916 runabout. I believe it’s been replaced before, around 1954.
I’m looking at the fabrics at classtiquets....
I’m a master para rigger with access to the machines.
I would like to keep the 2 oval rear windows that are non correct.
What’s the best material offered by clsstiques?
My car suffered from a hail storm that punched 2 inch holes in my vintage, circa 1954 top.
I think 3 yards of materials, should be more than enough.
I’m also working on a 1911 Buick top, stitching is done, I’m feeling In powered.
Thoughts, suggestions and advice is more than welcome.
As of now, novice, early car upholstery.
