HELP INDENTIFY POSSIBLY VERY EARLY
I have more cast cam brake levers than I care to admit here, but only 1 is like this. See for comparison the rusty one and gray one. Rusty one has no key in the end and look at hole in cam for solder/ brass. Also no hole in cam for pin. Please help date, Steve

Kerry, general knowledge is the cast cam ended in 15 not that you can't be correct. Mark, Tony knows what I have.

I believe there is a Ford ID no. on the brake handle. If there is it might help dating it.

Re: HELP INDENTIFY POSSIBLY VERY EARLY
The rusty one is not very, very early, as the rivet holding the pawl is not recessed in the pawl. Neither does the link rod between the release handle and the pawl have forged eyes. It may help further identification if the handle at the top is shown.

Re: HELP INDENTIFY POSSIBLY VERY EARLY
What Allan said is true, early pawls and lift rods were pinned, not rivets.More research on my own cars revealed that the 11,13,14 were all keyed. The 13,14 both have the hole in the cam. Must just be a different supplier.
