Last Saturday (12-28) Stan Howe listed a slightly modified OF for sale in the classifieds.
I have only ever heard one complaint about the Stromberg OF and that was from a long distance Model T driver at the Homecoming in Richmond who said "you would have to ride on the fender to adjust it".
It looks like it may be possible to modify the 26-27 swivel to turn the adjusting screw on a Stromberg mounted on a later car.
Do any of you who have these carbs think this would be a worthwhile project?
I expect to have one to play with shortly.
" notice what somebody made to fit the earlier style adjuster. I had never thought of doing that, it's a unique idea and would make it easy to adjust the high speed mixture from inside the car."Stromberg OF adjustment

Re: Stromberg OF adjustment
If they are rebuilt correctly and adjusted properly they don't need adjustment after the initial one. That was their big selling point and it helped them sell three quarters of a million of them in a little over four years.

Re: Stromberg OF adjustment
Thank you Stan. That is what I had always thought but your comment about being able to adjust the carb from inside the car made me wonder.
The old forums are a gold mine of information.
