The are found unmarked, and marked by 3 makers; Hayes, Prudden and Weston Mott.

Just to be clear, one orders for specific style tank, oval, round etc.? They are not "universal".

Re: Early hubcap wrench

I went through a copy of "Guide to Authentic Tools for Dodge Brothers Vehicles 1914-1938" published by The Dodge Brothers Club that i picked up at Hershey several years ago. Did not find this wrench in there. So, probably not for Dodge!

Re: Early hubcap wrench

Larry, Two of this type of wrench have sold on eBay recently. One that had the 6 sided hole sold on May 7 for 147.50. It had been repainted and the seller commented that he could find no signs that it was welded or ground down, starting bid was $100. And this one with the 8 sided hole started at $20...

Re: Early hubcap wrench

I believe the original Ford wrench was 6 sided.
If you look at the Regan sheet, ALL of the T1349 wrench show that hole to be 8 sided. However, the real wrenches all have 6 sided holes. I assumed that the 8 sided hole in the drawings was a "typo"

Re: Buckeye Jack

Ford started to supply jacks in 1913, along with top boots. I have always assumed that these were the ones until about 1916-17 when the common one with integral handle replaced it. The parts check lists that listed what was supplied with the cars for 1913 and 14 list a jack and handle, not with hand...

Re: Buckeye Jack

The one that sold has to be pre 1910.

Before anyone gets concerned about a low blood pressure reading it's always prudent to know a few things. What is the patient's usual reading? Are they having any symptoms, e.g. dizziness, weakness, chest pain, shortness of breath, etc. Is this the same bp machine they usually use: or is it a differ...

The bottom wrench is not Ford. I have been told that it is for Chevy. They are easier to find than the Ford one’s and easy to confuse if you think you have made a find and not pay attention to detail!

1924 fender to running board question

I understand that instead of a wooden block between the front fender and running board there was two "spacers". Were these essentially thick washers? And how thick were they?

Thanks

Re: Jacks

Here is documentation that Ford was suppling jacks in 1913, note it states "and handle" for the jack. ALSO, it shows Spark plug wrench and handle, that refers to the T2178 style plug wrench that was supplied into 1913 (see photo).

Re: Jacks

Ford started supplying jacks in 1913, along with a top boot. It was a two piece (jack and separate handle), and is pictured on the right in the photo of the two jacks with the prominent FORD markings (silver colored). The other one in that picture is a Buckeye #3, and was sold by the Buckeye Company...

NOS Valve Spring Seat source?

On researching valve spring seats on the forum I note that there are several doscussions relating to the poor quality of the repro valve spring seats and the comment: "only use NOS"! Okay, where do I get the NOS ones?

I think the common Ford script jack with integral handle came along around 1915-17. Ford started supplying a jack in 1913, as well as a top boot.

I thought the originals were hollow. I purchased a repro @ Hershey several years ago, it was solid. The repro is painted aluminum, the original(?) is unpainted
