Don't forget to change the wires on the coil too. If you don't change them, you loose about 20% of the intensity of the spark at the plug

I don't run alcohol gas in any of my old vehicles or chainsaws. I have been shutting off the gas near the carb and letting the engine run until the carb is out of gas, so there is no boiling of gas that enters the intake manifold. My 1911 always starts on the third pull of the crank when it is cold. However when it has been running down the road for a while, it takes about 12 - 15 pulls on the crank to start it. Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?

We will be there for sure the way it looks now. I already have 6 orders for NOS ignition parts for people with cars other than model Ts. So if you or a friend need something like distributor caps, points, rotors or brushes for other makes and models, email me at tsvanmeet@gmail.com with those needs....

WTB NOS ignition parts at Luray

We plan to attend the swap meet in Luray in a few weeks. As always, we are in the market to purchase NOS ignition parts for any make or model. If you have some of these unidentified parts like distributor caps, points, rotors etc, bring them along, we are interested. See you there and pray for sunny...

Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?

We are thinking about attending the swap meet in a few weeks. I buy and sell NOS ignition parts (dist caps, points, rotors, brushes etc) for most makes and model of cars and trucks from 1910 to 1960. We have parts all the way from Auburn to Willys I will not pull my vending trailer all the way to Lu...

Re: I'm done with white tires

Rich, no the other two that I changed about a year ago are still okay at this point. The right front is the culpret. The first set that I had on went about 4000 miles with no problems what ever. I have not done anything to the front geometry but did check it and it is within specs. Just a bad tire I...

I'm done with white tires

I have had a set of smooth whites on my 11 for the past 10 years or so. Probably about 4000+ miles during that time. Last year I replaced three of them for various reasons. Tonight we went for a little car show about 10 miles from home. When my wife got out of the car she noticed the cords were show...

We lost another one

I received a phone call last night from a mutual friend and looked on Google this morning to confirm it. From the mortuary site on the web "It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herman Kohnke (Clare, Iowa), who passed away on April 20, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family a...

Come see us for NOS ignition parts for most makes and models from 1910 to 1960. I know Ford stuff is readily available but bring a friend along to see our vast availability of other ignition parts. We will be at C4N 31-32 just north of the central bathroom area in the north Chocolate field.

Re: idenentification of distributor/rotor type help

The one on the left with the T contact is the one most often encountered with a "model T" distributor. The midd...
