Are you replacing the firewall on an existing body, or is it new wood? If existing, why not place them so they line up with the holes in the body?
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

You have a lot more holes to locate than just these two brackets !
Somewhere in these archives is a print of the dash layout. I may have a file I could email you.

I would recommend installing the brackets on the body, then locating thd holes through ghe dash by fitting the dash blank correctly on the body first.

Those dash to body sill brackets are best placed after the fit of the dash to the body. All the other holes need to be done first, and would be most helpful to have the firewall to frame brackets positioned to the frame and dash.

Then the brackets may be positioned and holes drilled to mount the carriage bolts from the outside, and nuts on the bolts to the metal brackets.

Thanks for the responses. As I figured… to be fit afterwards.

Perhaps this will help ? The brackets are 3" below the upper edge of the floorboard riser.
