Dual exhaust manifold clip design
I’m going to install a cast iron dual exhaust manifold and I need to make some clips for the studs to attach it. Just wondering if someone can show me a design that they know works!!
Thank you
Thank you

Re: Dual exhaust manifold clip design
I had the opposite issue when building my speedster as the exhaust bolted to the engine & the intake clamped. I used grade 8 3/8" fine all
thread long enough to clamp a 3/8' x 3/4" bar across the intake. You can do that but the of the ports on the dual exhaust manifold on 2 & 4
are greater than 1 & 3. I would think a 1/2" x 3/4" bar long enough to cover all 4 ports could be used to clamp the longer ports & set bolts
threaded into the & locked with a nut would give you the ability to adjust the hole on the exhaust manifold. It may not look pretty but if
you take some of those round corners from under the grinder & put on the bar it will improve the appearance. May not clear a early hood? Nice manifold?

Neat set up, now this photo is off the forum years ago, seems good way to hold that dual exhaust manifold.

I think I would use stock clamps, but braze on an extension to the end that holds the intake manifold.

Me too. Long threaded studs & using nuts for the low connectionsJerry VanOoteghem wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 7:20 pmI think I would use stock clamps, but braze on an extension to the end that holds the intake manifold.
