Well, I am here. Frankly, I am not used to being around people named "Wayne" except for my dad and myself. When I was going to grade and middle school (2nd through 8th grades)? There was one and only one other "Wayne" in that school. He was the principal.
And for a long time, I think I was the only one here (at least not using a pseudonym). And I did myself use a pseudonym for the first few years of this forum (because my family was afraid of the web and insisted). In the past couple years, you and a couple others have shown up here. I think that is kind of nice.

My experience is quite similar, one other person was named Wayne in my grade school, and he was 4 years younger than me. I was the only Wayne in my high school. But in graduate school suddenly I was one of 3 Waynes. I always appreciated that I had a name that everyone could pronounce and spell, and at the same time was somewhat unique.

I discovered another way to get the answer to my Question This new forum has a feature that either wasn't available on the old forum, or that I wasn't aware of. In the upper left hand corner of the header is a quick links tab (a box of horizontal lines if you are viewing on your phone). Clicking on the "quick links" brings up a "member" tab. One can select members with user names starting with 'W', and then sort the resulting list alphabetically, by clicking on the "username" sub heading, and a list of usernames starting with 'W' appears in alphabetical order. At the moment there is a least one other "Wayne" and he is from New Zealand.

This feature makes it easier to send a PM to someone when your not sure of their exact username. Perhaps this was available on the old site, but I wasn't aware of it.

Wayne(s), I got curious so went to Google.

"Origin of the name Wayne: Transferred use of the surname originating from the Old English wægn, wæn (wagon, cart). The name arose as an occupational name for a wagoner."

Until I was eight, my grandparents lived on Wayne Avenue and the girl across the street was named Lynn. One block over was Lynn Avenue and there was a kid who lived there named Wayne. At eight, I thought that was an amazing coincidence. :D
