What headlights for a Canadian 23 touring. Anyone have a set for sale?
Hello, I'm confused on the exact type of headlight style I need for my Canadian 23 touring. Does anyone by chance have this type of light for sale? Thanks.

Isn't it the same as the US headlamp for 1923?

I'm not positive, isn't there some differences in the later 26/27 and 23 t model headlights in the U.S.?

I have a several pair of headlights, complete, that mount to the front fender brackets but don't know exactly what you need for a 23 Canadian Touring

Yes, the US 1923 headlamps are different than the US 1926-27 headlamps.

Untill one of the guys from up north chime in, the only difference might be; instead of stamped Ford they might have a Clasco stamp, but do not know for sure, just a wild guess. Other then that they should be the same. I don't recall seeing any cars from up north or other countries that had different headlights for 1915 to 1925 as far as shape. Unless something after market was installed. Is the car titled as a 23 and really a 1926/27? Please post a photo of your car, because adding in the 26/27 is confusing. US or world wide, the T's used the same style headlight from 1915 to 1925.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

This might be a clue. The September/October 2017 edition of the Model T Times featured a Synoski winning ‘21 Model T coupe that had “the correct Canadian Headlamps”. When that came out I studied the photos but couldn’t make out a difference.
Was that difference got just ‘21? Don’t know.
Somebody knows. I don’t.

I have noticed subtitle differences in electric headlight s1915 - 1925
1915 -1917 http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/82 ... 1527859810 note the position of the focus screw its above the bulb socket 1917-1925 with the focus screw is along the side of the bulb socket and there are variations in the base where it fits into the fender bracket some round and some H shaped collar above the threads. This link describers differences and shows many Vowell Art drawings

Here’s something to consider.
I wonder...?
I hope this photo shows up. See the flat on the lamp stalk where it interfaces with the fender bracket. Some lamps apparently don’t have that! I’m thinking it was for indexing the lamp so it pointed forward, (no c/c adjusting). So do the lamps without that feature use a different fender bracket? Or can they be adjusted to look in the treetops?I wonder...?

Except for the references to the Synoski winner and lens, everything shown so far is common for US cars and is not an indicator.

Re: What headlights for a Canadian 23 touring. Anyone have a set for sale?
As far as I know, the headlights on our Canadian sourced cars are the same as those on US cars for 1923, except that it is rare to find a Ford script on either the headlight body or the rim. I have never seen a makers mark.
Hope this helps.

Re: What headlights for a Canadian 23 touring. Anyone have a set for sale?
In that era headlights were optional, most had them but not all. There was a number of suppliers so it is conceivable that there may be some slight differences between makers. Some were dealer supplied and some were aftermarket. It is also possible that two identical cars may have different headlights from a different manufacturer. I have three brass 1913ish side lamps (one is a tail light) and they are all a little bit different, at 10 feet you can't tell. Obviously from different makers.

FWIW, the headlights on my late Dad's unrestored original '23 Canadian coupe, which spent its entire life in Canada before Mom & Dad bought it in 2005, are identical to US lamps of the era.
