Ford Sign
I got this from a friend who bought obsolete Model T and A parts from Ford Dealerships n the 1950s. Any idea what era the sign may be? The measurements are about 12x24. The Ford script and circle are embossed into the wood...which is solid except for a ply cut into each end to stop it from warping.

Re: Ford Sign
I believe the oval was first used in the Model A era, so then or later.

Re: Ford Sign
Here is a link to a FORD sign web site. This guy collected Ford sign for many years and has a good history of them. Both US and signs used overseas.

I think since your sign is wood it may have made by the dealer. Still it is nice sign. You might want to get you friend to write down the history and then get it recorded for the future owners. Dan
