Unfortunately somebody dorked it up trying to electrify it. When they removed the burner, they may have also removed it's identity. Brand names were often marked on the wick winding knob. Higher end lamps often had nameplates attached or stampings on the top that would identify it. Although the way the door is hinged at its top is a bit unusual, it may not be enough to make a positive id. There are some features that make me think it's a Corcoran but I'm not certain. Like a lot of lamps of that era they were sold as aftermarket items. I have over 100 early catalogs of automobile accessories and they are filled with a wide variety of such lamps. So, if you are trying to determine what specific car it fits, the answer is most likely "whichever car the original owner chose to put it on." If you are curious about the specific brand of lamp, my best guess is a Corcoran. I could spend a week going through my catalogs, but may still not I'd it, since many of those early auto accessory companies sold them under their own name, but did not actually make the. If anyone knows for sure, let us know.

I agree with Terry. I found this one for sale described as a Corcoran. It looks very much like yours.

What do you think?
When did I do that?

Not a Westchester 7. They were clearly marked on top and have a different font. Also, the hinged at the top door is different than the Westchester.
