I still have not received my November/December Vintage Ford

Post by Will_Vanderburg » Sat Jan 30, 2021 3:43 pm

It is now the 30th of January 2021, and I have yet to receive my final copy of the Vintage Ford for 2020. I have the insert from the previous Sept/October issue that states my membership expires on 12/31/20

I want to know where my magazine is. If the Editor of the publication can contact me and explain (other than mail delays), please do so. I've already renewed on January 6th for the new year, and I don't usually get the first issue of the year until February anyway.

HELP.

I got mine in Texas the first of January. Mail is all messed up right now and bulk mailing is always a crap shoot as to when it will arrive. Contact MTFCA they will send You another copy. I had one lost a while back and they replaced it no problem. ph # 765-373-3106 or e-mail to admin@mtfca.com.a lot of folks received their Nov/Dec 2020 copy late in January 2021 a lot of posts. here is the last one I saw on this forum. Good Luck

Will, your neighbor probably hasnt finished reading it yet! Happened to me last year :D. My neighbor who lives around the corner has the same first name, house number and mailman. After he started reading, he wondered why they sent it to him.... Then noticed my name on the paper. I told him to enjoy and let me know when he's thru...
Good luck,
Bill Coyle

I have not received mine either, or the November December 2020 Model T Times.

I have friends that have received the January February 2021 Model T Times already.

One friend got the November December 2020 Vintage Ford, and the January February 2021 Model T Times on the same day last week.

Are there any members that work for the post office that can enlighten the rest of us on what will happen here? I wonder if bulk mail that got delayed due to the holiday crunch will be kept around for eventual delivery no longer how long it takes, or at some point will the delivery window will just expire and the stuff will just be dumped into the nearest landfill?

Update - I sent a message via the MTFCA website contact link regarding whether they had an estimate from the postal service on when the remaining issues might be delivered, here is the reply:

"I apologize that you have not yet received your magazine. Unfortunately, it is out of our hands and we cannot get any answers as to when those who have not received their magazines can expect to receive them. They were all mailed at the same time (around Thanksgiving) and they are ‘somewhere in the postal system’. That’s all we know.

I tried to find the thread on the forum but could not locate it. If you want to let others know, please do!

I will put another one in the mail to you today."

The club usually has a limited number of extra copies of each issue available, so I asked for one and it is being sent. If I eventually end up with two copies, I will make one of them available free to anyone who still doesn't have their copy by then. :)

My January February 2021 Model T Times came yesterday.

My November December 2020 Vintage Ford and November December 2020 Model T Times have not arrived yet.

I did get a 3 Day Priority Mail package from Washington State all the way to Maryland in 5 1/2 days.

My new passport mailed for renewal on December 7, 2020 also arrived today.

The post office back log may be shrinking some.

My November December 2020 Vintage Ford arrived today, in excellent condition!

There is still some hope for the USPS.
