1915 Magneto Output Post

Post by Vrayfoster » Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:35 pm

I've wanted to purchase the fun projects magneto output post for my 15 car, but alas they are no longer available. With that in mind, does anyone have the drawings of them so I could make one for my car.

Why not order one from Langs or Snyders or Chaffins?

If the one you are looking for is with brass post, have you checked the suppliers to see if they have one in stock? https://www.modeltford.com/item/3260E3.aspx
On the other hand, the replacement style would work fine. The only one to see it would be you with the floor boards off. The catalog list it for 17 -25 but should work fine for pre 17's too. Brass is conductive, so you would need to insulate the center pickup from the housing, not to mention sourcing/making the spring loaded pickup. Guess you could gut parts from a later style to use.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
