Re: Well used coil
This is on a big hit and miss engine on a really cool cable tool water well drilling rig we have coming up in May.
Built on a huge wagon frame of some kind, obviously built by the local blacksmith or farmer from parts salvaged from a steam tractor, it is ingenious in construction and probably drilled a lot of much needed water wells during the northern Montana homestead boom.
The resourcefulness of the old guys never fails to amaze me. I hope somebody saves it instead of hauling it in for scrap.
Not much of this left around in Montana, during the big Chinese scrap buy about 10 years ago just one company out of Oregon hauled in seven thousand tons of scrap in Montana .

Re: Well used coil
It is quite picturesque. Some of the worst looking coils can have fine readings while good looking ones test badly.
It might sell well at the antique store.

When did I do that?

Re: Well used coil
Perry, I took about 100 photos, I will upload them to my facebook page and the website but if I upload anything here somebody will complain that I am pimping my auction service by showing items for sale. Sorry.

Dallas
Just ask anyone else that has facebook to look up Stan for you. Then you can see them. I suppose your wife has FB or at least your son or daughter in law. Rob and Steve Jelf also do FB.
