Repurposing Model T Parts

Post by TRDxB2 » Sun May 23, 2021 11:14 am

Some pictures are of Model T parts and other contain parts similar to T, so you can get the idea. The idea is to use worn disfunctional parts modified to work the idea. This link has has some really neat ideas http://fordiyers.com/ways-to-repurpose-old-car-parts/

I have some 26 head lights that was thinking about adding socket and mounting plates to make outside wall lights. They are too far gone to use on cars but have nice patina for rustic look!
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

I utilized some old T running boards for my accessory collection shelves - figured it was a fitting retirement place !

the sink on the right. Is that for dipping parts in so they do not rust?

Lot of nice idea's out there. Like

I once heard about a Montana Gunsmith who made damascus shotgun barrels out of Model T rear axles I asked Stan Howe about it and he did not know the gunsmith.

A local cider mill in Michigan has a press made from T Parts.

I have a friend who is making a pumping and operating windmill from T parts. Tower is four rails ot the frame.

I went to help a friend put a 300 straight 6 to power an irrigation pump on this old trailer he had and it was obvious how it’s life began. It has the holes for the early running board brackets. His trailer for a welding machine is a T frame as well.

Must be something wrong with me? I keep fixing parts others threw away and using them on my cars.

I'm about to make a cart for a gas welder out of a Model T frame. The frame was butchered in the past and is not suitable to be used for a car.
