Spending a bit more time looking through these great pictures again!
Notice the last one. A 1922 or earlier runabout, parked on the shoulder of the road. The man sitting there? Is sitting on the rear mounted gasoline tank!. The car probably has a Stewart vacuum tank to pull the gasoline up front. One of the speedsters I had used a Stewart vacuum tank because the fuel tank was low and near the back of the car. It worked quite well.
Over the years, I have seen only a couple other model Ts so equipped, one was a 1920 coupe that had had a tank mounted similar to this one for many years.
Always interesting to see some of the unusual things done to our cars when they were 'just cars'.
